The Black Man's Toolkit
Built in collaboration with Black men for Black men, and open to every man who needs it.
This is for you.
Welcome. Take a breath. This was built for you in mind.
This toolkit is a gift from Lambeth, South London to Black men everywhere. It is the work of Black Thrive Lambeth, a partnership of community organisations, NHS, and council, designed in 2026 with The Office of Art and Technology: a creative technology studio that builds tools with communities, not just for them.
This toolkit will not lecture you. It will not pretend racism does not exist or that one walk a day fixes everything. What it will do is give you six honest scenarios: about your body, your mind, your money, your spirit, your brothers, and your community.
If you are a queer or trans Black man, this toolkit is for you too. You will find resources written with you in mind, not as an afterthought.
Use this at your pace. Skip around. Read one section, then close the page and come back next week. Share it with a brother, a cousin, a son. There is no right way to use this, except honestly.
Six honest scenarios. Each anchored in experiences you might have experienced or heard of.
Pick the one that meets you where you are. Read top to bottom or skip around. Each chapter ends with a story, real questions, real next steps, and a list of free or low-cost UK organisations who can help.
