The Value Sheet
Net worth is not self worth.
One man told us: "When I was not financially stable, my mental wellbeing would flow negatively at the end of each month." Another: "If I am broke it could even affect your mental." Money and mood are linked. We are not pretending they are not.
But you are not your bank balance. The way through is to separate what you have from who you are.
Three questions. Write whatever comes. There are no wrong answers.
What do you contribute that money cannot measure?
Think about presence, mentorship, the time you listen, the calls you take, the lifts you give, the way you show up at funerals. Write three things.
Who would say you have made their life better, and why?
Not who paid you. Who loves you. Write a name and a reason.
If your income halved tomorrow, what would still be true about you?
Be honest. Some things would change. But what would not?
Your answers stay on your device. Nobody sees them, including us.
Next step.
Now that the self-worth piece is named, the Money chapter has the practical stuff: budgeting, debt, employment support, Lambeth-specific services.
